During your stay you might wish to take your children (or yourselves) to the cinema or theatre. We therefore thought a bit of local information like this might help you plan your stay. Cinema Swansea's main cinema complex is the Odeon [UCI] at Parc Tawe, City Centre - 25 mins drive. http://www.odeon.co.uk/fanatic/film_times/s19 Llanelli has a cinema too, Theatre Elli at Station Road, around 30 mins drive. http://www.carmarthenshiretheatres.co.uk/contact_elli.htm Port Talbot has the Apollo Cinema, at Princess Margaret Drive, on the seafront in Aberafan, Port Talbot. This is a great little theatre. http://www.apollocinemas.co.uk Finally, the Swansea University's Taliesin Theatre has films showing including lots of subtitled films and a diverse mix of theatre productions also. See whats happenning on the film scene at http://www.empireonline.com/ Theatre Swansea's main threatre is the Swansea Grand Theatre, Singleton Street, city centre. For real 'West end' standard, you will need to visit the Wales Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay (65 mins drive), or Bristol Hippodrome (1 hr 20 mins drive). However these both put on some great shows and having watched Miss Saigon at the Wales Millenium Centre, and Starlight Express at Bristol we can recommend these. Also try Cardiff New Theatre.
